This policy explains what information Messfixers LLC, doing business as Mess Fixers (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects when you use our website, contact us, or book a service, and how we use and protect it. By using the site or providing your information, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Information you submit: when you contact us or request a booking, the details you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, and property details.
• Usage and device data: pages viewed, clicks, approximate location, browser and device type, and referral or campaign parameters (for example, UTM tags).
• A first-party visitor id: a random identifier stored in a cookie so we can recognize your session across our pages. It is not your name or contact details.
• Service photos: before-and-after photos of the areas we clean, taken for quality documentation and your photo report.

How we use it

We use your information to operate and improve the site, understand how visitors use it, measure our marketing, respond to inquiries, schedule and deliver our cleaning services, and send you service-related messages about your bookings.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we use it to send text messages related to your service, such as booking confirmations, appointment reminders, on-the-way and arrival notices, photo reports, scheduling updates, and replies to questions you send us. If you give a separate, optional opt-in, we may also send marketing texts, such as special offers and discounts. Providing a mobile number is optional and is not a condition of purchasing any service, and each opt-in is independent and can be stopped at any time by replying STOP.

How we handle your mobile information:

• No sharing of mobile information: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
• Message frequency: message frequency varies.
• Opt-out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one final confirmation message and then no further texts unless you rejoin — reply START or opt in again when booking. Reply HELP for help.
• Message and data rates: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Analytics, session replay & monitoring

We use analytics and monitoring providers that act on our behalf to understand how visitors use the site, improve it, and keep it reliable:

• Product analytics and session replay (PostHog): records page views, clicks, and anonymized replays of site sessions so we can see how features are used and fix problems. Input fields are masked, so what you type (such as your phone number, email address, or payment details) is not captured in replays. If you give us your name when requesting a quote or booking, we may attach it to your analytics session so our team can recognize it; we do not add your email address or phone number to our analytics.
• Web analytics (Google Analytics): measures traffic, sources, and aggregate site usage.
• Error and performance monitoring (Sentry) and logging (Grafana): record technical data, such as error reports (the error message and stack trace), performance metrics, and IP addresses, so we can detect and fix problems. These reports do not include your name, email address, or phone number, and are operational records, not marketing tools.

PostHog, Sentry, and our logging tools process this data on our behalf and do not use it for their own marketing. Google may also use analytics data in line with its own privacy policy, including in connection with the advertising described below.

Advertising & retargeting

We use third-party advertising tools, including the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel, the TikTok pixel, and the Google Ads tag, that set cookies and collect website-activity and device data so we can show our ads to people who have visited this site (retargeting) and measure how those ads perform.

To measure our ads and reach people who already know us, we may also use these platforms’ audience-matching features: contact details from your booking, such as an email address or phone number, are first hashed (converted into an irreversible code) and used by the platform solely to check for a matching account, under terms that prohibit the platform from using or disclosing the hashed data for its own purposes and require deleting it once matching is complete. Your SMS opt-in status is never part of this, and you can opt out of ad matching at any time (see “Your choices” below).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as analytics, scheduling, booking, and messaging providers; the advertising platforms described under “Advertising & retargeting” above; a successor business if we are ever part of a merger or acquisition (your information stays protected by this policy); and authorities where required by law or a valid legal request.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.

Your choices

• Text messages: reply STOP to any text to opt out, or START to rejoin (details under “Text messaging (SMS)” above).
• Cookies and ads: block or delete cookies in your browser, use your browser or device ad-tracking controls, and adjust your ad preferences directly with Meta, TikTok, and Google.
• Ad matching: email us to opt out of the hashed audience matching described above.
• Access, correction, or deletion: email us to ask what information we hold about you, or to request that we correct or delete it.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy by posting a revised version here and updating the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
